The founder is Frank Pugliese and as of late, Cristina Spina has become a part of the company. Our goal is to produce film, television, and theatre which gives voice to unique, personal visions and voices and explores what it means to be the other, the outsider. ‘Bitetto,’ born out of and based on a term from Southern Italy, means ‘two roofs;’ and this is indicative of the idea that is central to our company and mandate; to create a bridge between American and Italian (as well as between the differences and commonalities within the respective countries and cultures,) artists, themes and subjects.
Globally, our goal is to expand on the possibility and growing desire for co- production between these two countries. Artistically, we hope to explore and tell the stories emerging out of a world in conflict, where the gap between class and culture, political and social, seems to be widening if not encouraged; stories where universal, heroic and courageous acts of humanity, with all the joy and complexity within, are celebrated.
